Photo Albums for ACP Year 1964-65

Intro

The first set of albums I made up of my own collection of photos. Since I put up the site in 2005, I have received some other photos from classmates. I hope you will forgive me if I take the easy way out and create simple web albums rather than laid out pages - I seem to have less time as I age rather than more. So just click on the album name or photo and enjoy. If I have made mistakes, please sent me an email with the corrections. It's been a long time! If you have some photos, please do scan them and send them to me and I will add them. Un grand merci!

Visit the blog I set up too.

In Our Time; long, long ago!

American Church in ParisOur College:

Shot of the American Church from the west end. Walking down the street to the right side, took us to rue Dominique and the cafeteria. The church faces the Quai d'Orsay and the Seine.

MetroOur Paris:

Other than when we arrived and then the few weeks of spring just before we left, my main impressions of Paris were of grey, chill, damp, rain, stark tree branches against more grey skies.

Pont d'AlmaPont d'Alma:

Other than attending classes, I remember best the trek across Pont d'Alma to the Officers' Club on rue Marboeuf. There was so much more to do but I was a bit of an idiot.

Elbot's PlaceOur Digs:

With no dorms, we lived in rental rooms, garret maid's rooms (like Eric Elbot), apartment shares, with French families and even VW Campers!

GlendaWinter Doldrums:

While some went home, others buried themselves in Paris, others lured by stories of hot sun in the Cote d'Azur, got down there one way or another. We did and we froze!

Elbot's PlaceGraduation 1965:

Graduation was held on a Bateau Mouche as it cruised down the Seine with dancing and wine and lots of kissing and clutching before we were doomed to be torn apart for ever.

American Church in ParisChad Wyatt's Paris Studies:

Chad sent me these beautiful photos in 2007 but I just found a great way to display them. I hope you like them as much as I do.
